Warranty & Known Issues

Warranty Terms

METZ mobility GmbH guarantees that its bicycles are free from design and material defects. The warranty is non-transferable and begins on the agreed delivery date. It includes a 5-year warranty against frame breakage, a 3-year warranty on engine damage (up to a mileage limit of 7,500 km), a 2-year warranty on components and electronics, and a 2-year battery warranty (with a remaining capacity of at least 60% after 2 years or 500 full charging cycles, whichever comes first, and subject to the user manual). The warranty is void if maintenance intervals are not observed, maintenance is improper, defects arise from improper use (e.g., overloading, inadequate maintenance), damages are caused by unauthorized repairs/modifications, accidental damage, third-party impact, fire, frost, non-expert technical repairs, use of non-compliant spare parts, lack of proof of purchase, or exceeding maximum permissible weight/load.

Known Issues

Reports from users, particularly concerning the Metz Moover from the Metz mecatech GmbH era, indicate issues with the scooter unexpectedly shutting off during rides and battery defects. Some users expressed dissatisfaction with the service and warranty handling related to these battery problems.
