Warranty & Known Issues

Warranty Terms

Striemo products come with a manufacturer's warranty. For general consumers, warranty details are available via the purchase page (https://striemo.com/apply) and related Q&A sections. It is explicitly stated that for business or commercial use, the manufacturer's warranty will not apply. In case of a delivered product not conforming to the contract in terms of type or quality, customers must contact Striemo via email within 14 days of delivery for a refund or replacement. Shipping costs for returns due to non-conformity are covered by Striemo, but vehicle tax and compulsory automobile liability insurance are not refundable. Customers are advised to contact contact@striemo.com for warranty-related inquiries for business use.

Known Issues

The earlier models, S01JT and S01JG, were subject to a recall on February 9, 2024. The recall was due to a motor control computer (MCU) program issue that could lead to unintended deceleration during throttle operation, potentially causing a fall. The corrective measure involves a firmware update to rewrite the computer program, which users can install themselves via the dedicated 'My Striemo' app. The updated S01JTA model features an improved front disc brake caliper internal structure to enhance braking control.

Recall History

February 9, 2024: Recall issued for Striemo S01JT (specific small moped model) and S01JG (moped model) due to a motor control computer (MCU) program defect. The issue could cause unintended deceleration and a risk of falling. The remedy is a firmware update via the companion app.
