Warranty & Known Issues
Warranty Terms
Segway-Ninebot offers a Limited Warranty on all components against defects in material or workmanship. For recreational use, the warranty is typically two (2) years, while for commercial use, it is six (6) months. The warranty period begins upon delivery to the original customer. To claim warranty service, proof of purchase from an authorized retailer and the product's serial number are required. Segway will repair or replace defective products with new or reconditioned parts. The warranty excludes incidental, consequential, or special damages. Unauthorized repairs or maintenance will void the warranty.
Known Issues
An early recall for the original Segway PT models occurred in September 2003 due to issues where ignoring repeated low battery warnings could lead to falls.
