Warranty Terms
Kaabo USA offers an 18-month limited warranty against manufacturing defects in structural and mechanical parts from the delivery date. For the first 30 days, issues with controllers, motors, or batteries due to manufacturing defects include coverage for all shipping costs. Extended 1-year warranties are available for purchase, extending coverage to 30 months total. The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, damage from misuse, accidents, or unauthorized modifications. Claims are initiated by contacting Kaabo USA support.
Kaabostore.eu (Europe) offers a 24-month warranty for frame/structural components, steering rack, and brakes (excluding pads), and a 12-month warranty for electric motors, controllers, LCD display, battery, charger, and lights. The battery warranty specifically covers cases where capacity drops to 65% or less. The warranty is voided by damage from carelessness, natural disasters, improper storage, non-compliance with instructions, electrical network faults, use of poor-quality consumables, or unauthorized repairs. Products must be returned in safe packaging to authorized service centers.
Known Issues
Several recall incidents have been reported for Kaabo scooters. The Mantis 8 and Mantis 10 models were recalled in Europe and Korea due to a risk of electric shock and poor insulation, which could lead to fire and injury. Additionally, in Australia, the Mantis Dual Motor Elite and Mantis Single Gear Motor models faced a recall due to a stem bolt failure, where the stem could detach from the scooter deck, posing a risk of serious injury or death to the rider. User reports on Reddit also mention a "Wolf King fork snapping fiasco" and general issues with stem stability and customer service responsiveness regarding these problems.
