Apollo Scooters offers a 12-month limited warranty on original scooter components against manufacturing defects, starting from the date of delivery. For new 2026 models, a Lifetime Frame Warranty is provided for the original owner, while models purchased on or after June 1, 2023, receive a 10,000 km Frame Warranty. For models purchased before June 1, 2023, the frame warranty is one year without kilometer limits. The warranty covers components such as the motor, battery, controller, display, throttle, brake levers, electronic braking systems, stem, deck, and handlebars. Exclusions typically include normal wear and tear parts (tires, tubes, brake pads, grips), cosmetic wear, damage from negligence, misuse, improper maintenance, unauthorized modifications, extreme environmental conditions, accidents, collisions, or natural disasters. Claims must be reported within seven days of discovery and require valid proof of purchase from Apollo or an authorized repair center. Shipping costs for inspection/repair to Apollo are borne by the customer, while return shipping for approved claims is covered by Apollo. The warranty applies to the original owner and is void upon transfer, with exceptions for specific retailers like BestBuy Canada.
The Apollo City 2024 model year scooters were subject to a recall due to a weld issue on the stem that could cause it to crack, posing fall and injury hazards. There was also an Apollo Phantom recall on August 31, 2023, affecting about 4,000 scooters. Some users have reported issues with the Apollo City Pro 2022, including faulty tubeless tires, wobbly stems, and odometer discrepancies. There have also been general complaints from some users regarding durability, quality, and the availability of spare parts.
Apollo City 2024 model year electric scooters were recalled on July 24, 2025, due to a weld defect in the stem that could lead to cracking and potential fall/injury hazards. This recall affected certain serial numbers (4202240300001-4202240301236 and 4202240400001-4202240400764) and involved approximately 790 units in the U.S. Consumers were advised to stop using the scooters immediately and contact Apollo for a free replacement stem. Additionally, an Apollo Phantom Electric Scooters recall occurred on August 31, 2023, involving about 4,000 scooters.
