Warranty Terms
KINGSONG generally offers a 2-year warranty on finished products and a 1-year warranty on lithium batteries and chargers, covering defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. Exclusions include normal wear and tear, damage during transportation, loss or theft, misuse, negligence, improper use, accidents (including water damage, drops, collisions), unauthorized disassembly or repairs, use in violation of laws, and failure to follow user manuals or guidelines. Note that regional variations exist; for example, MyKingSong.com (US) offers a 1-year/2000km warranty for products and 6 months for batteries from the factory departure date.
Known Issues
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) issued a warning in July 2022 regarding a fire hazard with King Song KS-16S electric unicycles. CPSC testing determined the battery pack could overheat, leading to a fire that caused smoke inhalation injuries and substantial property damage in one reported incident. KINGSONG and its US importer, EWheels LLC, reportedly refused to recall the product.
