Warranty Terms
Riley Scooters offers a 2-year limited manufacturing warranty covering defects in workmanship and materials for all original components. The battery is covered for 12 months against manufacturing defects under normal use. Wear-and-tear items and consumables such as tires, tubes, brake pads, and disks are covered for 90 days. The warranty is voided by the use of non-Riley power components, unauthorized batteries or chargers, unauthorized modifications, self-repairs, or using unauthorized repair centers.
Known Issues
Early concerns (around 2020) were raised on Reddit regarding potentially misleading claims about being the 'UK's leading e-scooter company' and suggestions that their scooters might be rebadged Levy scooters. Users have also reported issues with range not matching advertised figures, reduced uphill performance, continuous beeping (often due to cruise control activation or low battery), and speed not matching advertised speeds, which the company addresses in its FAQ as being influenced by factors like rider weight, terrain, riding style, and battery health.
