Warranty & Known Issues
Warranty Terms
SPLACH offers a 12-month warranty from the original ship date for e-scooters, covering components such as the accelerator, card reader, charger, controller, lithium battery, framework, and motor. For the SPLACH Thunder, core components like the motor, charger, and battery have a 15-month warranty. Defects or damages must be reported within 7 days of delivery to qualify for after-sales service; issues reported later are considered personal damage. The warranty does not cover labor or shipping fees, screws, minor surface blemishes, rips, tears, scratches, flat tires, or other cosmetic damages due to normal use, mishandling, storage, accidents, impacts, abuse, dangerous play, misuse, or personal negligence. It also excludes scooters exceeding 5,400 miles within 180 days, as this indicates usage beyond reasonable limits. Water damage is not covered.
To initiate a warranty claim, customers should contact support@splach.bike with their order number, item, personal details, shipping address, email, problem statement, and supporting evidence (photos/videos). SPLACH may send repair parts with detailed video guides for self-repair. If available, customers can send their scooter to partnered service centers. For issues with the frame, motor, and battery, video confirmation may suffice for direct replacement, while other parts might need to be returned to the factory for confirmation. The warranty is non-transferable and requires original proof of purchase and the product's serial number.
Known Issues
Some users have reported that handlebars on certain models can loosen over time. The charge port location on the SPLACH Twin Plus has been noted as potentially inconvenient, being near the front wheel, which could lead to damage if the handlebars are knocked while charging when unfolded.
