BOYUEDA Official Store guarantees that electric scooters will be free from major defects in materials or workmanship for 24 months from the date of purchase. A 30-day return and refund policy is available after receiving the scooter. The free warranty applies only to first purchases from boyueda-official.com. The original invoice is required for warranty verification. [cite: 1 (previous search)]
Batteries are covered by a 1-year warranty, with defective batteries repaired free of charge during the first year. Electric scooter frames have a 2-year replacement warranty, covering the frame itself but excluding labor costs for part transfer. Defective displays, batteries, motors, and controllers may be replaced during the warranty period, but the customer is responsible for shipping costs. Photos or videos of damaged products must be provided to support@boyueda-official.com before any parts are replaced. [cite: 1 (previous search)]
Exclusions from warranty include normal wear and tear of consumable parts (e.g., tires, brake pads, cables), defects or damage caused by accidents, misuse, improper use (such as stunt riding or racing), scratches, dents, and cosmetic damage not caused by Boyueda. Products with removed, defaced, or altered serial numbers, or damage from non-approved accessories or improper assembly/maintenance, are also not covered. Shipping damage must be reported within 48 hours with photographic or video evidence. Minor damage to packaging, slight scratches/paint peeling, or bent bendable parts due to transport are not covered. [cite: 1 (previous search), 8 (previous search)]
The BOYUEDA S5 model has been noted by users as being "pretty bulky and heavy (over 100 pounds)" and "hard to fold." [cite: 40 (previous search)] The S3 model has been described as a "cheap scooter" that "needs significant changes," particularly regarding tires and the front fork, and is considered "too strong for a daily walker." [cite: 34 (previous search)] There are also general concerns within the electric scooter community about BOYUEDA being a "Chinese junk" brand, with potential quality control issues and claims that UL certification might only apply to the charger rather than the entire scooter or battery.
